Spring is here and it's time again to wake up our gardens and tend to our grounds, as always in terrific company.

This year, our Genesis Grounds Committee is amping up the social dimension by hosting a three-congregation, plant‑forward, "Spring Salads" potluck. Come mingle with families and friends of Temple Beth Emeth, St. Clare's, and Blue Ocean Faith while noshing on spring greens, from 12:00-2:00 pm, on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
After that, let's get to work in the fresh spring air! In addition to planting, putting down mulch, raking, and weeding, this year we're taking on some new initiatives, including:
Redoing the Eastover Garden and introducing native Michigan plants to our landscape, in partnership with Seeds To Community/Washtenaw. These sustainable, native plants will be bring more beauty to our grounds while enhancing our insect & bird ecosystem.
Reviving the Food & Faith Garden. Thanks to the enthusiasm of Rev. Anne and the TBE & STC Religious Schools and their parents, last year we were able to donate over 150 lbs of home-grown tomatoes and green beans to the Food Pantry.

No matter your experience, there's something for you to help out with. Something for all skill levels and all ages, from 8 to 80 and beyond. Bring gardening tools such as rakes, wheelbarrows, trowels, shovels, and hoes. Dress appropriately: wear layers, hats, and gardening gloves. We will also have some tools available, so come as you are. No need to pre-register to garden. Come for as little of as long as your schedule allows. Light refreshments provided.
Please RSVP to bring a dish for the potluck. But don't worry if food slots are taken. Just show up with your dish, all are welcome!
