About Genesis of Ann Arbor
One of the few of its kind
Genesis of Ann Arbor is one of a few permanent interfaith spaces of worship in the entire world. In America, we were the first partnership between a Christian Church and a Jewish Synagogue to share equally a space of worship.
Our Mission
The Mission of Genesis of Ann Arbor is to exemplify interfaith understanding, cooperation, and friendship, and, through its board, to steward its shared space in ways that strengthen St. Clare’s Episcopal Church and Temple Beth Emeth and the broader community.
Historic Partnership
Genesis represents an historic partnership between St. Clare's Episcopal Church and Temple Beth Emeth. We seek opportunities to work for justice, to learn, and to deepen and celebrate our understanding of one another. We work together on an ongoing basis to maintain our building and organize events and activities to bring us together.

The guiding principles of the Genesis partnership determine how the Genesis Board works with its guests, renters, employees, and the broader community. Through these principles we cultivate a friendly, service-oriented environment.
